Tupac shakur hummer h1

Scottsdale, AZ – According to Newest Cars, a rare 1996 Hummer H1 owned by Tupac Shakur is set to go under the hammer at Bonhams Cars’ Scottsdale sale on January 23, 2026. The customized four-door Hummer, reportedly the last vehicle Shakur purchased before his death in September 1996, is expected to fetch up to $450,000.

The H1 is powered by a 6.5-liter turbo diesel V8, four-speed automatic transmission, and full-time four-wheel drive. Newest Cars reports that the truck’s custom features include oversized off-road tires, heavy-duty diamond plate bumpers, a front brush guard with extra lights, a 12,000-pound winch, and a roof-mounted spotlight.

The cabin offers cream leather upholstery, upgraded audio with a Clarion head unit and CD changer, a Sony navigation system, and a PA system with sirens and loudspeaker, reflecting Shakur’s distinctive combination of luxury and bold style.

Purchased in August 1996, roughly a month before Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, the Hummer is recorded as his final vehicle acquisition. Its close connection to the rapper’s last weeks has made it an enduring collectible and symbol of 1990s hip hop culture.

The vehicle previously appeared at a 2016 RR Auction and sold for a six-figure sum. According to Newest Cars, it has remained low mileage since, with just over 10,000 miles on the odometer. Bonhams is promoting it as a one-of-a-kind collectible with complete factory documentation, history, and clear ownership records. The estimated sale price positions it alongside high-end collector cars, including Ferraris.

While the Hummer name has returned as an all-electric supertruck with advanced features, Tupac Shakur’s H1 remains loud, raw, and unapologetically of its era—a snapshot of a time when both the original H1 and one of rap’s biggest stars commanded full attention.
